Sands Chevrolet in Surprise Arizona to celebrate Grand Opening this weekend

Buzz Sands and Jerry Moore, dealer principals, just opened their new Chevrolet superstore in Surprise in December of 2008. They will be having their official Grand Opening March 7th and 8th for all of the public to come and visit their new 95,000 square foot facility on 18 acres just off HWY 303 and West Waddell Road.

The dealership is officially called ‘Sands Chevrolet at Prasada’, a nod to the Prasada mall that Westcor expects to build across from the autoplex, which will stretch along Loop 303 between Cactus and Waddell roads. Sands Chevrolet is the first of about 10 other dealerships expected to comprise the 303 Auto Show in Surprise.

During the Grand Opening Sands will be showcasing the dealerships’ architecture that incorporates several eco-friendly features to complement new models of hybrid and electric cars that Chevrolet expects to roll out by 2011, said Sands’ construction consultant Tom Patrick. In addition to Chevrolet’s hybrid Tahoe and Malibu, the company is working on an upgraded Malibu hybrid as well as an all-electric car called the Volt, Patrick said.

Part of the celebration will also include the first ever dealership display of the all-new 2010 Chevrolet Camaro. The dealership will have a 2010 Chevy Camaro RS and a 2010 Chevy Camaro SS on display. Public viewing hours are 8 am to 7pm till March 11th. Sands Chevrolet in Surprise Arizona is the first Chevrolet Dealership in the United States to receive the all new 2010 Chevrolet Camaro for display!
